MCSD Certification Microsoft Certified Solution Developer

The Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) credential is the premier certification for professionals who design and develop leading-edge business solutions with Microsoft development tools, technologies, platforms, and the Microsoft Windows® architecture.

MCSD Certification Requirements

Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) candidates are required to pass three core exams and one elective exam. The core technology exams require candidates to prove their competency with solution architecture, desktop applications development, and distributed applications development. The elective exam requires proof of expertise with Microsoft development tools.

*Core exams that can also be used as elective exams can only be counted once toward a certification. If a candidate receives credit for an exam as a core, the candidate will not receive credit for that same exam as an elective in the MCSD track.

MCSD For Microsoft.NET Certification

MCSD for Microsoft .NET Certification Requirements

 Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) for Microsoft .NET candidates are required to pass four core exams and one elective exam that provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise in developing and maintaining enterprise applications based on Microsoft development tools, technologies, and platforms. The elective exam provides proof of expertise with a specific Microsoft server product.

An MCSD for Microsoft .NET candidate should have two years of experience developing and maintaining solutions and applications.
