Cisco BSCI Training Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks CCNP Certification

cisco cipt1 training classTraining Class Description
Cisco Course v3.0 | Prepares you for Cisco Exam 642-901
In this comprehensive 5-day, Authorized Cisco course, you will develop an advanced set of skills to help you optimize the configuration and deployment of a Cisco router-based internetwork. Learn the complex concepts and commands necessary to configure Cisco routers for scalable operation in large and/or growing internetworks. Whether your goal is to take your Cisco routing skills to the next level or to achieve CCNP or CCIP certification, this is the right course for you.

Audience
Network administrators, network specialists and technicians who configure and support large internetworks, and individuals seeking CCNP, CCIP, and CCDP certifications.

Upon Completion of the BSCI course you will learn

  • Converged network requirements of various network and networked applications within the Cisco network architectures
  • Advanced IP address configuration techniques to optimize your network
  • Implement and verify EIGRP operations
  • Build a scalable multi-area network with OSPF
  • Configure integrated IS-IS in a single area
  • Manipulate routing and packet flow
  • Implement and verify BGP for enterprise ISP connectivity
  • Implement and verify multicast forwarding using PIM and related protocols
  • Network reconfiguration to adapt to new technologies, including IPv6
  • How IPv6 functions in order to satisfy the increasingly complex requirements of hierarchical addressing
  • IPv6 routing protocols

Labs

    Lab 2-0: Basic Connectivity
Configure routers and verify connectivity of the network.

Lab 2-1: Configuring and Tuning EIGRP
Configure EIGRP and provide Core scalability by limiting queries, using EIGRP route summarization, and configuring EIGRP stub routers. Advertise a default route to EIGRP stub routers.

Lab 3-0: Configuring and Examining OSPF in a Single Area
Configure single-area OSPF and manipulate the OSPF router ID using loopback interfaces and the router-id command. Explore OSPF packet types and the DR and BDR election process.

Lab 3-1: Configuring OSPF for Multiple Areas and Frame Relay NBMA
Configure multi-area OSPF and OSPF in NBMA mode over Frame Relay.

Lab 3-2: Configuring OSPF for Multiple Areas and Frame Relay P2MP and P2P
Configure OSPF over Frame Relay using the Point-to-Multipoint OSPF network type. Also configure OSPF over Frame Relay the using Point-to-Point OSPF network type.

    Lab 3-4: OSPF Tuning
Understand the OSPF link-state database structure and the tools available to investigate the link-state database. Limit the routing table size, then explore the effect of using route summarization and the effect of using the various types of OSPF stub areas.

Lab 4-1: Configuring Integrated IS-IS in Multiple Areas
Configure multi-area integrated IS-IS and IS-IS route summarization. Learn to optimize IS-IS interfaces and IS types.

    Lab 5-1: Configuring Basic Redistribution
Configure basic route redistribution between OSPF and RIPv2. Change Administrative Distance on routing updates and inject a default route into the RIPv2 domain.

Lab 5-2: Tuning Basic Redistribution With IOS Tools
Tune the redistribution using a route map to translate RIPv2 metrics into OSPF metrics and filter routing updates using a distribute list.

    Lab 6-1: Configuring Multihome BGP
Configure EBGP on the enterprise router to connect to the two ISPs.

Lab 6-2: Manipulating BGP Path Selection with Route Maps
Manipulate BGP path selection using MED and local preference with route maps.

    Lab 7-1: Configuring Multicast Routing
Implement multicast routing, configure PIM sparse-dense mode, analyze a multicast group, configure auto rendezvous point (RP), and enable a router to join a multicast group.

    Lab 8-1: Configuring IPv6 Addresses
Enable IPv6 routing globally and configure IPv6 addresses on all router interfaces that are not shutdown.

Lab 8-2: Enabling IPv6 OSPF Routing
Configure an IPv6 routing on your pod routers.

    Lab 8-3: Configuring IPv6 Tunnels
    Manually configure an IPv6-to-IPv4 tunnel.
