Certification Course Overview

The Implementing Cisco Unified CallManager Part 1 CIPT1 5.0 training introduces learners to Cisco's Unified CallManager (UCM) application, Release 5.0. UCM 5.0 acts as the call routing and signaling component for Cisco's IP telephony solution. This course discusses a variety of UCM configuration scenarios, including: performing postinstallation tasks, configuring gateways/ gatekeepers, and preparing switches to connect to IP phones. A major topic addressed in CIPT1 focuses on the construction of route plans to place intracluster and intercluster calls. Learners will also learn to configure telephony class of service (calling restrictions) and numerous user telephone features, services, media resources, and applications.
