to IP Telephony. Cisco ® IP Telephony (CIPT) 4.0 Part 2 extends your knowledge of features, security, and management of the Cisco ® CallManager. This course focuses on applications that extend the
capabilities of the Cisco ® CallManager, centering on Cisco ® video telephony products, secure IP telephony, and monitoring and managing IP telephony. This course provides the opportunity to
practice configurations in the lab while presenting the processes, procedures, features and applications associated with a Cisco ® IP telephony solution.

Upon completion of the Cisco ® IP Telephony -Part 2 (CIPT2) course, the student will be able to:
Configure applications to extend the capabilities of Cisco ® CallManager
Configure Cisco ® CallManager to support Video Calls
Secure an IP Communications network

Audience
Cisco ® IP Telephony- Part 2 (CIPT2) is designed for students with a solid background in Cisco ®
networking. The course is ideal for technicians who use or are training to use the Cisco ® CallManager
product. It is also extremely beneficial for students who build Cisco ® voice architectures. This course
will prepare students for future use with additional data, voice, and video services through Cisco ® CallManager's open telephony application programming interface (TAPI). CIPT2 is also recommended for
any students attempting the Cisco ® IP Telephony specializations.
Prerequisites
Students should possess a fundamental knowledge of Cisco ® networking and TCP/IP as well as IP Telephony. Successful completion of the following certifications/courses (or equivalent
experience) is strongly recommended:

Building Cisco ® Multilayer Switched Networks (BCMSN)
Cisco ® Voice over IP (CVOICE)
