Cisco MCAST Training Class Implementing Cisco Multicast
Training Class Description In this Authorized Cisco course, you will understand how infrastructures are multicast
-enabled to support the efficiency of multicast business applications and services. Upon completion, you will be able to identify Cisco products and protocols required to
implement multicast solutions in both local and wide area networks within your intranet. You will implement services at each layer of the network to obtain membership to multicast groups in a working environment.
MCAST is recommended as one of the core offerings for the Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional (CCIP) certification.
Audience This course is designed for engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and
troubleshooting IP multicast-enabled networks. MCAST is a core requirement of the CCIP® certification. This class will allow you to prepare for the MCAST Sylvan Prometric exam.
Upon Completion of this course you will learn
- Why multicast applications are used
- Strategies for multicast enabling your infrastructure
- Multicast distribution models and theory
- Layer 3 multicast protocols
- Layer 2 multicast protocols
- Reliable IP multicasting
- Methods for troubleshooting an existing multicast enabled networks
