Cisco DCUFI (formerly DCNX5+7) Training Class - Implementing Cisco Data Center Unified Fabric v4.0

ICNX5+7 Cisco Nexus 5000 7000Learn to install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus 7000 and 5000 Series Switches.

With this 5-day class, you will learn the key components and procedures needed to install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot the Cisco Nexus 7000 and 5000 Switches in the network and SAN environment.

We have enhanced the standard Cisco labs to incorporate more troubleshooting and real-world examples. In fact, our Virtual Port Channel (vPC) lab contains three exclusive activities pertaining to failure scenarios.

    • Cisco Nexus product family, specifically the Cisco Nexus 7000 Switch chassis and components, Cisco Nexus 5000 Switch, and Cisco Nexus 2000 Fabric Extender
    • Install Cisco Nexus products in a Cisco Data Center Business Advantage environment
    • Plan and implement virtual device contexts into the solution
    • Security features available on the Cisco Nexus 7000 Switch and which features should be implemented into a solution
    • Configure the Connectivity Management Processor on the Cisco Nexus 7000 Switch and identify the management options available
    • Service-level and network-level high availability of the Cisco Nexus switches
    • Cisco IOS In-Service Software Upgrade feature
    • Fibre Channel protocol, including addressing, flow control, and zoning
    • Implementation plan for configuring Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE)
    • Processes, tools, and resources for troubleshooting the data center infrastructure, interconnectivity, and operations
    • Exclusive - What to look for in configurations when vPCs or switches fail

In hands-on labs, you will explore the features of Cisco NX-OS Software and the Cisco Nexus platform, gaining an understanding of the day-to-day operations of these products and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) in today's data center. Labs you'll perform will help you prepare a new implementation or a migration to the Nexus from the Catalyst platform.
