ISC2 ISSMP Boot Camp Training Class Information Systems Security Management Professional Certification Course
The goal of this five-day accelerated course is to review security issues from a larger model of security and management, focusing on elements such as project
management, risk management, setting up and delivering security awareness programs, and managing Business Continuity Planning programs. It recognizes advanced expertise in Information Security Management.
This certification is a governed by the International Information Systems Security Certifications Consortium. (ISC)² has been helping CISSPs meet the ever changin challenge of specialized information security
requirements with the development of the CISSP-ISSMP
A CISSP-ISSMP establishes, presents, and governs information security policies and procedures that are supportive to overall business goals.
Typically the certification holder or candidate will be responsible for constructing the framework of the information security department and define the means of supporting the group
internally. The professionals have a well-rounded and complete comprehension of information security.
Course Prerequisite
To achieve the this certification, students must have a valid CISSP and demonstrate two years of professional experience in the area of management.
Our 5-day ISSMP Class Covers the following Domains:
Domain 1 Enterprise Security Management Practices Address the fundamental requirements for a security program. It embraces the concepts of
security from an enterprise-wide perspective, defines the role of policy and supports the establishment of an effective security department.
Domain 2 Enterprise-Wide System Development Security Describes the role of security management in defining, designing, developing, testing,
implementing and maintaining the critical software infrastructure that supports current and future business environments.
Domain 3 Law, Investigations, Forensics and Ethics Discusses the responsibility held by security managers for investigations, resolving ethical
queries and ensuring that the organization is responding appropriately to regulations and laws.
Domain 4 Overseeing Compliance of Operations Security Addresses the control and coordination of systems and networks that support an
organization's infrastructure. This requires careful management of security to ensure that the elevated privileges of operations staff are not misused or uncontrolled.
Domain 5 Understanding Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) and Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP)
Discusses the critical role of the security manager. As many organizations are increasingly reliant upon their information systems infrastructure, the need to ensure that these systems
are operating according to the requirements of the business is an important requirement for security managers, risk officers and auditors.

Certification Exam Track
The ISSMP concentration examination is comprised of 100 scored items plus 25 pretest items, for a total of 125 items.
All concentration examinations are developed and owned by (ISC)² and designed to work in tandem with the CISSP credential. As such, being a CISSP in good standing is a requirement
to sit for one or more of the concentration examinations.
Candidates are allowed 3 hours to complete each concentration examination.
Security technology is constantly changing. Ensuring continued competence is accomplished by meeting the Continuing Professional Education hours required by the board.
Credential holders must earn the minimum number of Continuing Professional Education credits (CPEs) annually during each year of the three-year certification cycle. Although
members may earn more than the minimum number of CPE credits required for credential maintenance for the three-year cycle, they are still required to earn and submit the minimum
annual number to maintain their certification in "good standing."
