There are two MCPD certification paths:
Professional Developer: Web Developer You will have the skills necessary to build interactive, data-driven Web applications that use ASP.NET 2.0 for both intranet and Internet uses.
Professional Developer: Windows Developer You will have the skills necessary to create rich client applications that target the Windows Forms platform using the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.

Boot Camp Training Class Prerequisites
Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD): Windows Developer candidates are required to contain a current valid MCAD certification in addition to the following experience:
- Candidates should have at least two years of experience developing Microsoft Windows-based applications by using the Microsoft .NET Framework.
- Candidates should have a working knowledge of Visual Studio 2005.
Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD): Web Developer candidates are required to contain a current valid MCAD certification in addition to the following experience:
- Candidates should have at least two years of experience developing applications by using the Microsoft .NET Framework.
- Candidates should have at least three to four years of on-the-job experience dedicated to Web application development.
Certification Exam Track MPCD
Existing MCAD certification candidates must pass one certification exam to earn
MCPD: Windows Developer certification and one certification exam to earn MCPD: Web Developer. The exams provide a valid and reliable measure of technical
proficiency and expertise. During the MCPD Upgrade Training Camp, students will take the following exams:
