Oracle Certifications Training Paths
Oracle Certified Associate (OCA)
The associate credential is designed for IT professionals beginning to work with Oracle. Typically, OCAs will  already
have acquired the foundation of knowledge for their work as Web administrators, database administrators and developers. Oracle views the OCA credential as an appropriate starting point for techies early in
their careers. "By earning an OCA certification, you can have increased entry-level job opportunities," says Oracle's OCA candidates guide. "It is the stepping-stone to starting a successful
career as an Oracle professional."
Oracle Certified Professional(OCP):
OCPs generally have achieved a degree of experience and success in their careers. For example, developers may have demonstrated their
expertise by managing a large-scale Oracle database or developing applications used throughout a company. This credential is seen as a way to move on to senior-level positions.
Oracle Certified Master Training (OCM):
The OCM credential can be summed up in a single word: Guru. OCMs, whether database pros or developers, are
crucial members of IT departments who handle mission-critical projects and tasks. The OCM certification credential
"significantly raises the bar" for certification with its hands-on testing, according to an article in Oracle Magazine, a
company publication. "The OCM is Oracle University's response to the industry's need to effectively test candidates on
their ability to perform in a real-world, live application environment and is a test of both knowledge and experience," the article notes.
Oracle Certification Exams
Most Oracle certification exams are available only in proctored testing centers; a few are available online (without a
proctor). Oracle Certification Program proctored exams are delivered at Oracle Testing Centers and Authorized Prometric Testing Centers.
Exam Prices
The price for exam 1Z0-007 is $90 US Dollars over the Internet and in Authorized Prometric Testing Centers. The price
for all other Oracle Certification exams is equivalent to $125 US Dollars, plus any local taxes. The OCM practicum is payable to Oracle University and is equivalent to $2,000 UD Dollars.
Exams completed at a Prometric Authorized Testing Center are are payable to Prometric at the time of scheduling
your exam appointment. Oracle Testing Center appointments are payable to Oracle University.
Exam Restrictions
Candidates must wait at least 14 days before retaking an exam (except online exam 1Z0-007). There are no
exceptions to this restriction. Passed exams may not be re-taken. Violations are subject to Oracle's Fraudulent Activity Policy.
Candidates are NOT required to pass all the exams in their certification track within a set period of time or in a specific

Oracle reserves the right to make changes to or retire certification exams, certification tracks and programs at its
discretion and without notice. Candidates should refer to Oracle's certification website for the latest information regarding the Oracle certification program.
All eligible veterans as well as their spouses and children can receive reimbursement for their OCP exam fees through the GI Bill and Dependents Educational Assistance reimbursement programs. Fill out the "Application for Licensing and Certification Testing Fee Reimbursement" form and send to the Department of Veterans Affairs. All details are listed on the
reimbursement form.
