ISC2 SSCP Certification Training Boot Camp Class

classSSCP Certification was designed to recognize an international standard for practitioners of information security [IS] and understanding of a Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). It focuses on practices, roles and responsibilities as defined by experts from major IS industries. Certification can enhance an IS career and provide added credibility.

SSCP accreditation provides information security personnel and their employers with international credibility. It also gives their employers a reliable measure of exceptional professional competence. As the demand for SSCP certification has more than doubled in the past year,

The key advantage of  our authorized (ISC)2 Institute Training is fundamental: The institute's goal is to provide an extensive overview of the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK), the compendium of information security practices and standards compiled and continually updated by (ISC)2 and used as the basis for the SSCP exam.

Curriculum

The curriculum for the boot camp is under continuous review, ensuring current information relevant to the seven CBK domains below.

  • Access Control - Policies, standards and procedures that define who users are, what they can do, which resources they can access, and what operations they can perform on a system.
  • Administration - Identification of information assets and documentation of policies, standards, procedures and guidelines that ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability.
  • Audit and Monitoring - Determining system implementation and access in accordance with defined IT criteria. Collecting information for identification of and response to security breaches or events.
  • Risk, Response and Recovery - The review, analysis and implementation processes essential to the identification, measurement and control of loss associated with uncertain events.
  • Cryptography - The protection of information using techniques that ensure its integrity, confidentiality, authenticity and non-repudiation, and the recovery of encrypted information in its original form.
  • Data Communications - The network structure, transmission methods and techniques, transport formats and security measures used to operate both private and public communication networks.
  • Malicious Code-Countermeasures and prevention techniques for dealing with viruses, worms, logic bombs, Trojan horses and other related forms of intentionally created deviant code.

Exam Track

The Certification examination consists of 125 multiple-choice questions. Candidates have up to 3 hours to complete the examination. Seven SSCP information systems security test domains are covered in the examination pertaining to the Common Body of Knowledge:

  • Access Controls.
  • Administration.
  • Audit and Monitoring.
  • Risk, Response and
  • Recovery.
  • Cryptography.
  • Data Communications.
  • Malicious Code/Malware.
